I have not tried one but it should work well.  The timing of the maturation is fairly short with only three months in the ale held cask so I would expect a limited change in flavour but probably a change on the positive side, the flavours should work well together.

A pint and a whisky chaser? Nah, I will just have the IPA whisky!

I normally drink Balvenie Double Wood but I’m tempted by the IPA.

Before anyone starts lecturing me about drink, a bottle of whisky will last me a year.

I love Balvenie but have not tried double wood, it must be a smoooooth flavour.

Might have to try and get some now!

a bottle lasts me more than a year. the whiskey in that bottle only lasts a short while

The 50 year old at £19,000 may be a little out of my price range.

The silly thing is, what do you do with a £19,000 bottle? Lock it away and look at it once a year?

Much as I love my son, he can ****** off if he thinks I’m sharing it with him.
