Hi,

How would you perform an Ins Res test to verify seperation between SELV circuits and others??

I know 250V and 0.5Mohms but where to connect leads?

i would disconnect the supply side of the SELV unit, and IR the supply cable at 500V DC, and then IR the SELV side at 250V DC... but please check with others incase i am wrong...

IR on selv is tested the same as normal circuits, the IR is not a test between LV & ELV

transformer obviously needs removed

Whereas pages 41,41 and 42 of Guidance note 3 give a bit more details!
