Back in 2003 I completed the C&G 2360 Pt1 just to be able to do electrical work around the house not to go into the industry.

I am aware that soon after that some other requirements were introduced meaning I can no longer do installations of anything other than a light switch until I complete some new fangled thingy.

Never done the Regs either.

So where do I stand? Is there anything I can do with this cert? Someone asked me if I would be able to gain MCS accreditation to do Solar PV installations and I had no clue.

If I decided to get into this what route do I need to take and is the 2360 any use to me what so ever?

Help appreciated.

2360 came before the 2330, part 1 2360 is equivalent to 2330 L2, some colleges may have let you go onto 2330 L3, some may not. To be recognised by the JiB as a qualified electrician you would need an NVQ L3. Unfortunately for you both the 2330 & 2356 are coming to an end & being replaced by the 2357 which is a combined NVQ & technical certificate.
