..............for all sets of traffic lights to have at least 3  women trying to clean our windscreens while we are trapped in the queue ? :red card

Really!? They still do that up there?

There was a shooting near here over a pitch on the a406 but that was ages ago and they've moved on to selling cold drinks and melted ice creams.

:)

what will they do in the winter I wonder?

Do they speak English and pay NI and TAX?
Well of course they do  :innocent

Yes at all the major junctions around city centre,   there were 4 this afternoon , swooping down on everyone while we were stuck there.

Most are foreign but I have known a few British to do this as a job. There was one at Newbury Park traffic lights on the A12 for years.

Theres a trick they do.......... apparently many drivers hand them a pound coin or a 50p ......as they take it they drop it down the inside of the car and look stricken .......   driver , thinking the lights will change any minute,  says "Don't worry I'll get it later "  and gives them another  one .

When it is eventually retrieved ....it turns out to be a 2p that was dropped.

So, if you don't ASK them to clean your windscreen, are you legally obliged to pay someone who just cleans it for the fun of it?

They probably have civil rights Dave , so every time you pull up at lights your screen gets another clean and you have entered into a contract with them .

There will be a Competent Windscreen Cleaners Government Approved Scheme  , CWCGAS  and everything .

In fact you cannot clean your own screen anymore , must use a CWCGAS member and a cert sent off to the DVLA .
