...............are there even more Christmas themed adverts on TV this year than ever before ?    Not sure I can take much more  and I don't watch it that much .

I try not to take any notice of them.

Invariably Mrs Slowhand would to draw my attention to them.

Does anyone remember the one with the old man on the moon, the young girl and the telescope?

When l pointed out that the police investigating the Jimmy Saville/Operation Yewtree thing might be interested in the writer of the advert she stopped.

I just get dirty looks now as if l've spoiled Christmas :B

I wouldn't know, I don't watch adverts. I almost never watch anything on commercial tv live, it's always recorded so I can skip the adverts.

I know the radio channels went mad on 1st December rolling out the usual Christmas songs.

Not working with the builders at the moment I havn't had them inflicted on me ,  spare me Slade, Wizard, and all the other sentimental claptrappy , pop singer's pension plan psuedo Christmas songs .

I see all the Christmas TV "Specials  being advertised too, all  pre recorded in August ready to be trotted out to keep the captive masses happy ...the same show as before but everyone wears a Santa hat.  :stuck-santa-smiley-emoticon:

We call it ballysally champagne, 

After the area in coleraine,, 

Usually mixed with cheap cider, :slap

My BiL drinks it like water, 

My missus (English lass) couldnt believe that you can buy it in a pub,

I have a bottle in cupboard, local little shop sells it, its only place I've seen round here tbh,,,,

Seems a very popular drink down your end, and round Banbridge way.  

I'm over next week so will prob end up regretting having another lash on it, again,,,,   :needdrink: :|
