Is the Forum running slower or is it me ?

Is it my PC or the worst broadband provider in the world . How would you find out ?

It takes from 30 seconds to nearly a minute to change posts on here, is Admin doing maintenance or something ? :_| :( :(

The Don has been with Orange and has sent his boys round to explain we are leaving them.

No further questions were asked. But as mentioned they are not reliable.

Oh ****** I was thinking of moving to orange as well.

I guess that will never happen now

I use Orangebroad band & have no problem with them at all. Getting 6+Mb on a max 8Mb service. Norton 360 can be memory hungry & slow your PC down which is why Evans Elec. could be having probs. especially is your processor is less than 3Ghz.

Even a modest speed PC or Laptop, should have no problem in processing internet data, however

On the subject of internet speed, there are many consideration, such as:

1 Distance from exchange

2 Internet activity in the area concerned

3 ISP issues (Overall activity/demand/faults)

4 Connection issues at your installation

5 Time of the day (early evening for example)

6 And of course possible PC setup issues (Memory/Hard Drive)

7 And would you believe, a major news event can clog the internet (9/11 did)

Thanks guys, Orange are not as bad as they were , here , I think its mostly overcrowding . Between 5.00 and 7.00 it just refuses access to the net.

And often it just drops out , I can do a post on here, click the button to post it and the connection has gone, never happens after 2100hrs . But then it only costs

Rep called from "Talk Talk" again Yesterday.

Sent her packing! X(

I gave up phoning Orange, its the dreaded call centre in some far flung country.

" Please to be getting this right, your first name is Derg , yes, is that right Mr. Evenings, vee still have no record of you "

" My second name is Echo Victor Alpha November Sierra. " " Oh I see there is echo on the line since November, Mr Evenings, I will transfer you to Technical Helpline"

AAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
