Well thats what I thought.

I am very much a hands on person and do not mind getting dirty, in fact at a recent meeting my projects manager was mistaken for the MD, I dont look tidy or pretty :D

Anyway tuesday morning whilst working with some really heavy swa it twisted out of my grip pulling my thumb right back.

I worked on with the swollen lump of a thumb until friday morning, when pain and concern made me go to the hospital.

Results of the x-rays showed no broken bone to which I thought was great it will be ok when the swelling goes down.

WRONGI have almost severed all the ligaments and will need physio if I am ever to use it again.

My message to you all is be very carefull a split second can result in a life changing outcome.

Luckily I am not a sole trader or I would now be up against a wall so to speak..

Funny how font size changes catches you out as well Blushing

Are you a medically trained Doc? Is there anything you could prescribe to ease his typing. Some exercises perhaps? :D
I asked at the hospital if I should try and keep it mobile, they said definately not that is why we are strapping it up to keep it immobile so that the fibres in the ligaments can hopefully mend.

I now have two weeks before I find out if it will repair or not and how much physio I may need to use it again.

Thanks for your concerns every one but I will be ok
