what kind of JB do you normally use for extending a power circuit, when the JB is going to be under the floor boards.

What maintance free JB do you use?

:D

I still use old fashioned JBs under floorboards , never had any problem with them .

Can't remember ever doing a joint in an inaccessible place, other than fitting a box with a blank cover for instance.

If just extending a cable I tend to crimp and either use self amalgamating tape or a box.

If a spur off is needed where inaccessible in the past I have soldered the joint, wrapped and enclosed.

I've not used the maintenance free JB's - being able to rotate a cable after insertion in a wago or similar doesn't sit quite right with me - but that's the Luddite in me. I still don't understand how push fit plumbing stuff works - but it does!
