Just had a call!!!!

Just had a young lady on the phone to me asking me to go out and look at her light switch... It's sparking apparently and also tripping the circuit off.

Then she let's slip that it's a rented property so I say she'll have to get in touch with her landlord to get it fixed or at least to get their permission to get it fixed...

But no.. The "agent" don't have an out of hours number and the property is a repo and owned by a bank,,

so I tell her that she'll be responsible for my bill which she may be able to get back off the agent/owner....

Now she says she doesn't have any money to pay me with and that she'll have to phone someone else...

I then proceed to tell her to turn the circuit off to which she says that she can't... I then tell her she really needs to turn it off as it's a fire risk and that she should use table lamps in the mean time...

Guess what,,,, she doesn't have any

And that gents and lady was the end of the conversation!

Not much you can do about it really Noz, as the agent should have had something in place I would have thought to deal with emergencies as they are renting out the property. Good of her to say that she didn't have any money to pay for you for your time though.

been in this position loads of times and caught out once. But now unless i can be paid before leaving or the landlord calls me out i wont go.

so,

what kind of people are in this world,

they call you and want you to come out,

but they dont want to pay you cos they rent the house,

I should try that, get the gasman out then tell them I pay rent to the wife,

get her to pay,

how do you know sometimes? you take people at face value(well I do anyway)

thankfully I dont do call outs unless I actually know the person, and Im sober(ish)
