Is it mandatory to inform the LABC before having a shed wired by a qualified electrician?
I only need an internal light and one socket.

Hum, shed wiring (of anything) s only notifiable if its a :

England - new circuit
Wales - new circuit or an addition to an existing circuit

No notification under Part P for Northern Ireland or Scotland

No..

A competent electrician who is a member of one of the government recognised schemes....
can notify any work they have undertaken to the LABC AFTER they have completed the work!!

Electricity can still kill a healthy adult in less than a second, even with just a light or socket..!!
It doesn't need to be a full rewire or consumer unit replacement...
So Only a light and one socket should never be considered less dangerous!!!
