Hi there everyone,
Just joined this forum and am looking for some experience in the field. I am due to finish my 2330 level 2 in early Jan (passed all my theory exams - 2 distinctions, a merit and a pass) and starting my level 3 soon after that.
I am in a bit of a pickle because I decided to get into this later in the game (26 years old - I am now 27) - I have a wife and 4 month old daughter so could not go down the 200 quid a week apprentice route for four years as I just wouldn't be able to survive financially. I had to go down the training college route which I know isn't ideal but as you can see it was my only option (wish I'd been a bit more focused when I was 16...!) - I have worked like mad for the past year doing my level 2 - spending every available moment studying and pretty much all my annual leave on workshops.
I have a Monday-Friday job as I have to keep the bread coming in but am looking to do some work on either Saturdays or Sundays or evenings in order to gain experience. I am working towards getting my driving license (about 5 lessons away!) and am based in North London. i am willing to travel and work hard. I have tools but haven't forked out for a multi-function tester quite yet. (I have asked Santa for one...I doubt he'll get me one though! )
If anyone can help me then please give me a shout. I have a real passion to make this work and just want the chance to gain experience, who knows - if it works out you may want to take me on full time and I can quit my office job and start doing what I really want to be doing! I think I'd be an asset to any business - I have a great attitude, am not afraid to work hard, punctual, personable, nice bloke etc etc!
Literally anything going I will consider...
Thanks a lot peoples
