Hi

I need to spec a low energy light fitting to go in each of 10 toilet stalls in a school, each to be sensor operated, but have heard this can be problematic due to repeated on and off switching

Does anyone recommend a fitting i could use for this situation?

Its a false tiled ceiling about 1700mmx850mm

would setting the timers for at least around 30mins be any better??

Thank you

2D lamps do suffer from short life when used with PIR sensors.

I have installed fittings with PL lamps that seem to fare better.

If I use Plc compact fluro fittings maybe hf would these be better???

Thanks

been fitting loads of LEDs with sensors recently for an LA,

they run dim until movement is detected then go full brightness, dont see how you couldnt get off on ones though, these work by switching different banks of LEDs on and off,

not cheap though, not by a long way.

LED lamps have come a long way over the last year in their developement. I'm installing them at the moment in false ceilings but as Steps as said they are still pricey. these work with sensors and are dimmable. I'm sure that Halogens will soon be a thing of the past.
