gave it ago but all the lights went out so i could not see the fuse:coat

Note it down as a limitation, after all, how are you supposed to know what it is if you're not allowed to break the seal. Or as Ian says, wait till' the seal fairy has been.

Maybe a little walk somewhere lighter whilst the fuse is out?

Generally will be bs88 60 amp thats what I would put down anyway.
he did have a new digital meter and 25mm tails, would you expect 100a fuse?

i just write 'sealed' on any certs. after all, im not supposed to remove the fuse, and if you have written down what the fuse is, then tis proof you have removed the fuse

Hi guys, DNO in our area YEDL (Yorkshire) and NEDL (Northern) have loads of guys going around visiting proprties especially council refurbs and commercials looking for missing seals on the cutout and meters, photographing and passing to revenue recovery as illegally energised properties. They've been hitting the councils to fit 100 amp dpi's. 90 quid a pop.

I never remove the fuse, sealed or not,

just put Not Verified on the cert.

you are not allowed to remove the DNO fuse, that my friend is where you contravene reg 16 of EAW,

unless you are an employee of DNO that is. :)

While you are completly correct, how do you then isolate supply to replace CU/tails/whatever?

you dont. you should get DNO to install isolator, or remove fuse and come back to replace later

or at least thats how its done on paper
