MDF as meter board?

Good evening all,

I usually use 18 mm ply for cu mounting boards, battened off the wall, any reason i cannot use some 18mm MDF I have left over.

no, it needs to be mounted on something that will be viable for the forsee-able future.

windoze only has a lifespan of about 3 days,!

My incoming head, meter and CU are all mounted together on the SAME piece of MDF recessed into the wall to form an electrical cupboard. Contrary to popular belief, the DNO had no issues sharing the same piece of (immitation) woodwork as the consumer unit.
