Hi,

reading the green electricians guide to building regs and it says the met has to have a safety electrical connection - do not remove metal tag. Is that correct and does everyone do it?

do you mean the metal eath block?if so i always stick label near it like this

only needed when away from con unit, if using terminals in con unit then no need.

A sticker is definitely the preferred method on the met as metal tags aren't really designed to be screwed up.
