Or they just furked up. Probably didn't understand how to deal with the cable and buggered off. There's no excuse for leaving a property without a supply. If they couldn't do the job, they should have left it alone.

Technically they have a supply 230V on the screws of the isolator. Energised meter. If the supply was de energised that's all the meter op will do is fit meter fit isolator. As for the cut cable I can't answer that, we have to go on what we are told.

The system is a shambles. If you request a supply (and meter) move, it takes 3 people. The DNO who move the supply head. Then the meter man comes and moves the meter but does NOT connect the output, then the electrician connects the output to the CU.

Seen this pantomime play out several times on new build or refurbishments. Best of luck getting DNO and meter man on the same day.
