Alright everyone

anyone use the above mft its got me baffled on how to set it for external earth loop, am setting it to loop doing the tests but just dosent want to test, am testing a 10way dual rcd consumer unit on a tns system, the instructions that ive got with it arent much cop either any help appriciated

are you trying to do a 2 or 3 wire test?

Tried both getting nothing

when you say 'it doesnt want to test'

what exactly do you mean?

you have set the meter on 'LOOP'

and have applied the correct probes to where?

you do have power turned on I assume.?

Can somebody help, with the metrel mi 3000, is it correct that loop function is for both Zs and Ze tests, and with Ze test do you know if I have to use 3 leads, i.e. Joining both neutral and earth to main earth, and probe live test lead into live and then press test. what is Line function for?
