Good evening all,

a while back i wrote a book called "the part p doctor" and a great success it was too.

anyhow it was based on the 16th and so months ago i started the sequel! i was stuck for a title and ran a competition on here for a new/old familiar title.

the worthy winner was "nozspark" with " The Part P Doctor Second Fix"

the finished disc is at the printers now this week for their digital proofing and printing so it is on it's way! the first copies are off to mum, noz and admin on here!

anyhow, now to this week's businessROTFWL

i have been long mulling a manual which i have sort of started. it is a tips and tricks book for sparkies. it will be light hearted like the doctor and cover tray, trunk, conduit, housebashing. more or less every trick i ever learnt and that is quite a lot after 29 years:z

i would like to announce a new competition with a free copy of my new work which could be 12 months away. it has to be witty but identify what it is all about

over to you lot......

Dear The Doctor,

Your book was brilliant, thank you. My domestic installer course tutor had a copy, and I stayed behind after classes to read it (was un-moneyed at the time!). I would recommend it to anyone beginning/ doing electrical work.

Best regards,

TTbb

This print run is costing a fortune, i hope it works out....

i am a much better electrician than businessmanGuinness

Doc - I think it's time you shared the 'working title' to give us some inspiration at where you see the title pitched in your mind.

"An apprenticeship in a book"

"Creating a great spark from a lump of clay"

Hi Apache,

In the mid 90s I worked with an electrician who was well in his 60s then .

He had spent 40 years working all over the world. He could not test or fault find, no he was a master metal muncher. This is the guy who put it in by eye and if he got a conduit bend wrong he could move it along:O

They called him a funny nick name and it tickled me. It is now 2010 and this dream of mine runs along the lines of......

"The life and times of the Jurassic Spark"

That said, some one said it on here only last week in an unrelated chatX(

Even the life and times bit barely works for me.......

Over to you lot nowGuinness
