Hi All,
Just found this. A proper sub that can go anywhere, even to the seabed in the deepest part of ANY ocean, AND, it is all properly certified..

Not saying i would go on it out of choice, but it makes going to the titanic like stepping in a puddle..

john..
It looks a much better designed machine, I still dont see the benefit of taking people down to that sort of depth, only a tiny viewing window, the best views being displayed on monitors. Guess what, that can be done with ROV's and not present any danger, the ROV can also stay at depth for weeks if necessary.

Discovery Channel are running a series about life on an Antarctic cruise ship that offers passengers helicopter and "submarine" excursions.

The two excursions they showed in the series seemed disappointing to me due to poor visibility.

Plus current doubts about "joy-ride" subs.

They went to 100m on one excursion, the link above says the max depth is 984feet, or 300m.
