More than 4Kw of solar , can i?

HI all,

Colleague fitting a PV system to a house, he asks DNO what he can put on and he knows they'll just come back with 4kw

can he fit 8Kw and then just limit the inverter export, also can this happen on all the jobs. He'll be fitting Batteries also so wants alot of Panels to basically run those. so on other domestic jobs could he fit 14Kw of panels and a 6Kw Inverter and batteries and limit the inverter??

Yes, make a G100 application to your DNO before installation. The inverter will need to be G100 compliant and you will need to find test certificate showing that to send in with the application.

My DNO spenergy authorised my 8kw but it cost me an extra £380 for this privilege. Apparently this money was used to upgrade my transformer but reality that was bull.
