Nearly fell off me ladder !!!

Following on from my previous thread about loft lighting and wasps

finishing off the job putting in soffit grills for the fans

up on the ladder, drill the first one no probs but i can hear birds and i pull out loads of nesting stuff.

go to do the second one with is about a metre away

drill hole no probs,,,

get down from ladder pick up grill

get to top of ladder look up to present grill to hole and ......

a bird appears looking out of the hole and shout at me !!!!!

drops the grill and starts wobblin' on the ladder !!!!

it was ok...

the grill wasnt damaged !!!!

No matter what the householder says, never disturb the nest in these situations. it is illegal to do so during the nesting and breeding season. Out of season the nest can be removed and access blocked. If you do it during season and you get reported, your local authority will be all over you like a rash.

Wish they responded to "cowboys" like that!

so the next time someone needs reported, tell council that they also disturbed a bird. may not help with the electrical bodge, but it will get them a lot of hassle!
