Don't know if this is just local news but theres been a campaign to re-open the search for the supposedly "Real"  Birmingham Pub bombers .

Yesterday the police refused to re-open the case ,  evidence has dissapeared apparently , like a third bomb that didn't go off in a Barclay's Bank in the city .    First I've ever heard of that one !          Theres a 7th bloke they didn't release, the bomb maker , no one talks about him .    When the 6 were released it was said by police , "We are not looking for anyone else in this case"

The families of the 21 killed  and the ones with horrific injuries want justice .   I think in the light of the Hillsborough enquiry opening they thought they had a chance but again it is not to be.

The problem is due to technical cock-ups by police these days they are letting most of those found guilty back out of prison.

Its not that they are innocent they are probably guilty as hell, but due to our legal system they find an error and their out.

Many years ago an Electrician I know got caught drink driving, he was stopped just after he went over a bridge, the police officer called for a breathalyzer unit as he did not have one.

In court the officer that stopped him said it was on the south side of the bridge but the officer that delivered the unit said it was the north side of the bridge.

Case was thrown out of court due to inconsistencies in the statements.

He was guilty as hell and shocked at the outcome but thankful he got away with it, on a plus note he stopped drinking.
