been installing a new supply to a garage today, due to somebody a friend of the owners family installing a 1.5mm 3core lighting armoure to feed a light/3 twin m/clad sokets and 2 spurs in the garage some 25metres away from the main c/u in the house, PArt p really is working isnt it :innocentheadbang

job done by owners mate!

anyway after working our the mV/A/M calcs i worked out on a 15amp total load on that 1.5mm it would have approx 13 volts drop under full spec'd load, this is above the 3% max allowed ie 6.9volts, so worked it out again using a 4mm armoured and it calcs to 5.2 volts approx, so within limits.

anyway job for today was install the 4mm armoured, with twin m/clad socket, m/clad spur and new flourescent light fitting, oh i replaced the c/u in hallway yesterday and part rewired the kitchen lights and fitted that new flourescent, plus rewired the oustide light on the front, and a couple of other things were done like alarm/toilet downsatirs light and fan rewired anf done correctly inc new isolator spur @ 3amp for the fan. extra/rewired sockets upstairs, and new socket fronts, plus conservatory has had a couple of altertions, so all in all a nice job, heres some piccies anyway.
