Just wanted to say hello to all at the forum. I am surrounded by people who have a great deal of knowledge in most lines of the trades, I work as an electrician for a company called Serviceteam who are based in London. My intention is to come here every day, not only to give answers but also to get them.

Welcome to the forum philip.jones, I have removed the outside link to your company as a precaution against free advertisements, you could however use the find an electrician section to post any details.

I am new to all this stuff but i have a colleague in work who said he thought i should maybe mention the website he uses! im not to sure if i am allowed to put links on here straight away but ah what the hell they will just take it down if they don't want it up!

It is a tool hire company called 'national tool hire shops'
Welcome to the forum, you will get more from the forum by first reading the Terms and Conditions that can be found here vBulletin FAQ Why is it always a colleague, a friend, or a mate that tells people to add links. Do you not use them yourself? if not your recommendation is a little irrelevant. Are you an electrician, wholesaler, student or employee of the hire company that you linked?

Welcome to the forum, I thought you were a DIY'er from your posts on this thread http://www.talk.electricianforum.co.uk/do-yourself-diy-electrical-forum-electrics/19763-please-help.html#post264380 As Manator has highlighted forum sponsors or members with proven contribution to the forum such as quality post content are those permitted to add direct advertising links in their posts.

I couldn't agree more with Kerching, I am a keen DIYer myself. I always take a quick snap with my phone before touching any wiring. If I am in any doubt after that I call an electrician. It costs more if they have to sort out your BODGE.

OK, first of all many thanks for the welcome messages. I work for the company that I originally linked to. I think this has been taken down by Manator. But he has pointed me in the right direction. So thanks for that. I am a DIYer as some people have suggested, but I am also a trained Chippy and Plumber. I am now training as an Electrician. This has all come about by working for the company that I am with ( Serviceteam) This is not a link. Lol
