get a microsoft surface it runs windows 8 so has music explorer and microsoft word to.

just get an Android,

flash it,

and run proper Linux on it,

android is a version of Linux,

Apple is a poor overpriced copy of Linux, in fact it is *nix , just changed slightly, a bit behind the current release of Linux , and charged at an extortionate amount, !

Ended up getting the ipad mini 32GB and so far am pleased. Downloaded 'garage band' for £2.99 and learning how to use it. I was initially bothered that the 'bluetooth' doesnt work with my laptop for some bizarre reason but file transfers quicker via cable anyways...
