paid the fee and will be getting assessed, just wanted to clear a few things up if u dont mind.

1. main bond to gas has been crimped see pic, should i change this?

2. see pic of old gas meter inlet (thanks every one in previous thread for id this as a old gas pipe) this need main bonding back to cu?

3. old colour wiring is still part of the circuit, switch live are marked with red sleaving do i need to change this?

4.pefc and pscc, can either be higher and can they change slightly from time to time at the same instalation?

5. zs on lights, without one of them fancy plug in adapotors, this can be a pain. i know u can calculate it from r1 r2 +ze but is this normal or do u do the live test from every time.

i dont like asking stupied questions, but its best to cover all bases

thanks

1. A crimp on the water bond is not a problem (it's classed as a permanent joint)

2. That depends on if it's an extraneous conductive part,, is it connected to the relocated gas main?

3. Red sleeving is correct for Red/Black T&E

4. PFC is highest of PEFC & PSCC, these readings should not change if it's a TN installation. With a TT installation your PEFC can change due to environmental conditions, however your PSCC will most certainly be higher!

5. For your assessment you shouldn't be removing the cover from any live accessory.. use the calculated method.

HTH

1: nothing wrong with crimp, although i ideally it should be covered with heatshrink or something

2: its extraneous so will need an earth

3: you will need a change of colour sticker, but dont need to re-wire it

4: PSCC is often higher than PEFC, although not so much on TNCS

5:you can calculate Zs using Ze & R1R2, although i like to do Zs on each circuit anyway. final check to make sure you havent missed something after R1R2

thanks for quick response

the gas has continuity with the new gas, and i did bond it today, just checking.

forgot to ask, main water bond is boxed in but u get continuity from the pipe, should i take boxing in off?

pefc 1.96ka

last week was

pefc 1.7ka

pssc1.93ka

going to do it again, i might have not put the megger 1552 on pfc hi

thanks again for the fast and good replies
