Hi all I'm looking at registering with the nic eic dom install scheme but there's a few questions that I'm struggling to get answered such as, I've got 3 jobs coming up 2 of which I'll use for my assessment, I believe the jobs must be completed and tested in time for the visit but do they need signing off by building control or can they be signed off by myself after the assessment?

The quick answer is,,,

Legally, yes your jobs should have been notified through your LABC before you start the job

However in practice your assessor will not ask to see any notification paperwork

you should notify LABC in advance. there have been cases where assessor has asked for LABC documents to prove th job has been notified, but i dont think that happens often

Is there any cost involved and how much notice do they need? Got it penned in for the end of the week.
