night call out charge

was called to a job thusday night on site at 10pm till 2.00am with a 2.5hr drive there and back. 260mile round trip

having worked all day thursday and then through the night i did not go to work friday

so what should i get paid ? the premium rate for the out of hours worked plus the friday i lost because of it?

a firm I worked for a whike back doing call out had a system where if you worked after midnight you got the same hours paid the next day as well.

ie, midnight til 2am, (or 4.30 if thats when you got home) then you got that credited automatically to the next day, ie, you didnt have to go to work til 4 1/2 hours late.

normal start 7am, you start 11.30am.

you should of course have a rate prev agreed for call outs with your employer.
