No Drink Today!

Despite the heat today, starting work on a sunday at 8am, the miserable sods never offered me one drink today!

They must of saw the sweat pour off my head onto their carpet, and despite my comments they never offered me a bevvy and I was doing them a big favour working today!!!

If I have a customer like that (and the cups look clean) then I just outright ask them "Any chance of a cuppa????"

I always have squash and as most of my jobs are building jobs generally take milk and tea bags. I really miss my old van as it had a stove in the back.

Yes i always do take food and drink (and i did today as well) and was waiting for that reply from someone (not being funny to you though Andy).  But I did really put myself out for them today to get stuff sorted and it would have been nice if they had some thought or hospitality

Yes thats what i missed today a coffee or tea as i only packed juice and water.

Good job Im rehydrating at the moment Guinness   Guinness   Guinness   Guinness  (thats only a 4 pack Steptoe :slap  ) got work in the morning.

I stopped all that " doing a favour"    ... "Helping them out"  ..... working weekend stuff  a long time ago TBH .

Yes we'd like you to do the job but it would suit us if you come on Saturday .  Not anymore it doesn't .

Did years of shutdowns,.....  after production has stopped ....  Hospital jobs  etc  .  

When you mention its double time weekends they usually magic up someone to be there on a weekday.

I suppose its my comeuppance for having really nice customers on friday, made me drinks all day offered me a sandwich etc...

The hospitality of people differs enormously , I've gone from a pensioner cooking us egg and chips   to a posh **** having a conservatory built.    Doing the electrics , I tapped the garden doors and said we need to come in the house now ..

" Must you ...its not convenient ...how long will you damn people be here anyway ?"  

His wife , seeing my face change with thoughts of punching the prat on the nose or packing the tools , said to him " Take yourself to the golf club you stupid man ...you havn't a clue  have you "

I NEVER drink tea or coffee, I think sometimes folks find that hard to accept after Ive refused the 39th time,,,,,,,,,,,,

Today: homeowner away neighbour let us into the property to 1st fix the garden room endless brews then BBQ burgers and then home made profiteroles with Belgian choc sauce what a nice neighbour

At least half of my customers offer lunch or sandwiches etc. don't always accept as majority are older people and food wise I'm far too fussy
