Was asked by a landlord for a part p cert for an extractor fan installed by others ,,,,,,,,er no

can can give a EICR and if all is ok then your covered

extractor fan no overrun on it fair enuff

wired in

3-core brown,,,black and white !!!!!

where does this come from ???

my guess Eastern Europe,,,,,,because thats what the installation suggests

all wickes products !!!!!

by the way....no rcd,no supp bonding,,,no R1 R2 no bonding to gas,water.....place is pants

Is that the colours of the wires built into the fan by the manufacturer, or some wierd flex used by the installer to connect it?

I think I've seen the stuff your on about I had a big do with the electrical foreman on site he said it was grey and we to use it end of the day it's his name on the cert so we used it I suppose identifying brown blue corrects it has you should still do this if the core is grey or white

I've used some on the great farmhouse job , started 2nd fixing and noticed the 3 core to the fans & 2ways ,now I come to strip it is Brown- Black- Off white.

I'll check the drum tomorow , builder supplies mats , I already refused to use a drum of Atlas Cablo 2.5 .

Just as an aside .......... in the poor site lighting ..........and my not so brilliant eyesight .... the Brown is so dark its almost Black !!!!

I checked that cable drum today, unfortunately the cardboard box thing was thrown away weeks ago so don't know the make but clearly badged up with BASEC Approval plus kite mark and cable itself marked BASEC , also marked "New harmonised colours"

So its just carp coloours I reckon .

I have just received a batch of draka cables 3 core and earth 1.5, and the grey is more on the white side, this was checked with the batch numbers and was found to be due to pigment levels, so I would not worry unless the cable does not have the BASEC approval.

ive got to rip it out anyway

the white/grey core is flapping in the wind outside the fan housing in the loft

muppets twisted the earth the wrapped it around a screw holding the patress box to the wall !!!!
