Just an FYI (in general), the 'utm=' bits are all marketing trackers so they will see all these links as coming from their email campaign (which in a roundabout way they do).

The survey was emailed to members, so you didn't get an email because you aren't a member, so they don't expect you to fill it in at all.

Obviously @M107 shouldn't have shared this link (as in, they didn't want the link shared as it is for NIC/Elecsa members only) but I think if you are going to sabotage the survey you should also email them and tell them what you think, or that the survey results are being polluted, especially as non-members are filling it in. I'm all for the anarchy, just make it mean something, a few members here putting semi-daft numbers in the survey won't really do anything, there's a fair chance it will be range limited/filtered so most of these high prices will be ignored anyway.

Good Job too, with their rubbish prices, high delivery charges and abysmal customer service I tend to use anyone else!

Oh yes....considering they are a charity their complete attitude is diametrically opposed to the workings of any other charity I have encountered.

living off the pies and gravy paid for by others who, if lucky, may get to sniff the scraps that are left.  NOTE : sniff and NOT eat!

I think it is a good idea to get a gauge of prices throuout the country.

Although i think the questions should have been better for comparing prices,  for example,

Are you a sole trader or company?

Price for domestic and commercial for the following

          Replacement consumer unit with 10 circuits that can be completed within 8 hours

          New circuit to feed a fused spur 10M from consumer unit in surface trunking.

          EICR for 10 circuits that can be accessed in normal working hours.

          Call out charge for 1 hour within 5 miles of your base

          What is your charge for hourly rate in normal hours + out of hours.

Then we could see how our prices compare.....

... and i could see if i could get away whith charging more.

I just had a look to see what the typical questions are, and as with a lot of these type of surveys they appear to have been written by incompetent buffoons. "how long to install a lighting circuit"? Without knowing how many lights, how long is the circuit, what type of lights, office false ceiling, warehouse with high bays full of storage racking etc.. they may as well ask how long is a piece of string. If they are looking for regional differences then the key questions to ask are; What are your hourly, daily and weekly rates? Do you do emergency/out of hours  calls outs? what is your minimum call out fee? How much extra for greater travel time/distance, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100+ mile round trip?   Whether you are adding a new light or moving a socket or doing an EICR, If you do 6hours work then I guess most people would use a standard hourly rate calculation to work out their charge for the labour element?
