If he's watching youtube then 10 gigs sounds possible. The ISP counts all the 'overhead' toward your bandwidth usage so your consumption can work out considerably more than just the sum of the size of the actual files you stream or download.

Trying now to get rid of this thing called "Babylon" search bar.............anyone know of a fix (Windows 7)? Cheers.

IF so, and I'm assuming there is no uninstall entry under programmes and Features or you've tried and it doesn't ? there are some big guns available although the risk of an upset increases...
With no promises of safety etc. you could consider Spybot search and destroy http://www.safer-networking.org. I've run it in the past with good results and it is likely even the (Home /Free version) will boot it out . . see here for verification it is able to deal with the current version and a reminder to run any such cleaners with admin rights (find the saved /installed Searchand Destroy file/icon and right click to select run it as administrator)
