Off To Blackpool For A Couple Of Days

I don't think we'll get up there Tbh.... Too windy!

I didn't pay too much attention to where the loomies were suspended from.... I'll have a better look tomorrow

On a good day we could see the tower from our old family home...

Better when it is windy....moves about 12/18" at the top !!

Worth a trip up there just to see how it was built...back in the day

Well we did the 4D thing and the dungeons today.... We also walked central pier... Could you imagine them building one today,,, it wouldn't last 10 years..

If wind is better tomorrow we'll be going up the tower,,, but IIRC it's meant to be blowy

Will have to find something else to do

SeaLife centre is quite good....tell your kids you know someone who has dived in the ashark tank on more than one occasion!

Sandcastle as long as you can stand the smell of chlorine

Other than that, North wales Coast can be quite nice, and is only a couple of hours away

I've heard that the North Wales coast can be nice,,, however I've yet to see these sights

We did comment on a RR's museum,,, saw it on the side of a tram however we have just planned on going to the Pudding house for lunch.... Might get back to visit Blackpool later in the afternoon...

One thing I haven't seen though is the corner shop,,, we are staying close to your favourite place in the world though,,,, the big orange shed...... B&Q staying at Lennie's place next door

A year or so ago I was up Cairn Gorm Mountain, and apparently the most distant thing you can see from there is...... Blackpool tower.

Ah yes, the Outside Inn....just across the way from YESSS. And but 500m from the new mental,hospital

Corner shop is EXACTLY where you are now BUT at the OTHER end of the M55

It isn't bad food here either

If the mental hospital is that close then I think we may have checked into the wrong place,,,, we were assured that there wouldn't be any sharp edges but I was given a knife and fork earlier.... And I was given alcohol to drink

Apparently there are approx 3000 hotels and B&B's in Blackpool so I read.... I wasn't about to count them all :shakehead

Ok, brace yourself, i can tell you the EXACT figure as I have counted them!.......

ONE!

It is the Metropole near North Pier...this is the only one on the Promenade

All others are either South ProM, North Prom, Queens Prom etc

the Promenade is the bit that the trams run on!
