Well what you need to consider, you get a cheap job done and no paperwork, then your house goes up in flames due to cheap service and no paper trail, what will you do then.

In my town a guy doing a plumbing cash job drilled into next doors gas supply without knowing. The house exploded and lucky nobody killed, but who is to blame, guy with the blame denies ever being in the house next door.
