Old Fire Alarm Parts

How would you go about installing new breakglasses,smoke detectors and sounders on an old fire alarm system from say 5 years ago etc.Say if it was old menvier points would new menvier points work on it?or on that matter any make of points?

You would need to check the old. Most new call points have various connections for a simple switch or a resister in line. Smokes should not be a problem as the bases normally come with a resister that could be removed if not needed. Sounders would only have one end of line device added to the end of each circuit, but any sounders will work.

Most manufacturers say dont mix bells with electronic sounders and give a maximum number of devices

Depends if it s the defender series. DF2000 or. DF4000 I think.

Parts are no longer available, and nowt else fits!!!!!

BUT I have loads of spares both new and pre- loved including smokes heats break glasses, interfaces and address modules . So if it is these that you or any other finger-flickers want ( only old members will understand that bit ) then pm me...just saying
