ok, so my problem is,

how can I host a whole folder online without breaking up the component parts into individual files?

I dont actually need to host it online, but, I need to be able to have it accessed remotely and I thought that would be the easiest way to do it.

any ideas.?

Ubuntu one is perfect SW,

BUT, it wants me to break the folder (DVD) into its seperate component files, it wont let me upload it all as one folder,

or am I just doing it wrong?

its not a massive folder so space isnt an issue, I just dont know how to get it uploaded as an entity and not component parts.

??

my problem is getting it all to upload as a single entity,

is that possible?

or will I have to do every file seperately?

2GB

If you create a .iso image then it would be one file to upload and download then it could be used to re-create the file system on a cd/dvd as required.

You should be able to use bigfile for this too if it is less than 300Mb.

Otherwise could you use a zip file to create a spanned zip then these could be re-created the other end, thus you could just email the whole damned thing!

Is it a one off
yes, my problem was trying to work out how to get all the files uploaded as one folder, I think the image is the solution.

I have plenty of room on my Ubuntu one,

just uploading the .iso now, its 2.8GB so it may be a while. :slap

I hope he is downloading some image burning software too.!

What OS are you using sparky b?You need the image burning sw for your OS.

Try IMGBURN?
