The plumbers dont label what is the zone valve heating and what is the zone valve hot water what is one way of knowing which is which?

as above,

and if nothing wired then just turn on the boiler, manually open a valve and see what gets hot,

on saying that though, it does my head in too if they are at the boiler and the pipes disappear into a maze, and not labelled,  headbang

Well, if a maze was labelled it wouldn't be a maze would it now? It would just be a route map!

Just being Fricking pedantic sat here with a raging tooth infection and NOT allowed alcohol for a week. AND sat looking at 5 gallons of Merlot

I should just pull the tooth out and then treat with alcohol, it is a very good cleansing/antiseptic agent.

At least that's what my father told me..............

get a competent person to have alook...

or go and have a look at the neighbors house....

they may have nicer biscuits and an attractive daughter who can make a good cup of tea ..

Sharpend whats the lower valve normally heating or hot water you just said valve?

There IS no "normal" they can be placed in any order the plumber feels is best or easiest.

In my case the MIDDLE one is hot water, top and bottom ones are heating zones.

Ah yes, the good old " neighbour comparison"

All wired by same spark, all plumbed by same plumbit....simples

Why don't more people think along these lines.....

Bugger

I better get a plumber in I haven't got any of those valve thingy's  have they been stolen I wonder.......

easiest way..... turn the room stat up......the one that has the pipes either side getting hot is the heating

On these boilers they are temporary flexed in by plumbers and I come in and wire basically if I did get the hot water and heating wires mixed up I would know about it on the s plans?

I`m sorry - could we have this moved to the jokes area?

r.b. you simply can not be serious - this is, pure & simple, a winding up exercise........

Suppose I said to you that I`ve got two wires coming from my consumer unit, they`re both the same size, and one is the upstairs lights, the other is the downstairs lights. Which one will be on the left?

As jokes go - it wasn`t bad............. :coat

Well from a purely existentialist point of view...the cable on the left is more than likely to NOT BE the cable which is on the right....HOWEVER. If viewed from a reverse perspective then it may indeed be on the left and not the right BUT only if it wants to be viewed from this orientation and there is no Parallax error.

This is known as the Shullbits theorem, it is similar BUT. In no way related to Heavysides Unit Step theorem or indeed J notation or even , and dare I say it, Kuhnbaums Skin theorem Hypothesis
