Hi All!

I'm new here and looking for some advice on wiring a new doorbell! I will consult a local electrician but wanted to know for my self!

I’m in the process of asking my builder/electrician to installing a C31 doorbell for 24/7 recording at my property, and I need help understanding how to wire the system correctly.

Context:
  • My property currently has no existing doorbell wiring or setup.
  • I’m in the process of rewiring the property, so I have the flexibility to design the setup.
  • I’ve already purchased the recommended UK transformer from Amazon, as suggested in their article, which includes a diagram and transformer recommendations but It's not detailed.
  • I’ve reached out to their support previously but couldn’t get all the technical details I needed.
  • I don't have a chime or any existing wiring. It is a Fresh wire.
My Goal:
I want to hardwire the C31 doorbell to the mains to enable 24/7 recording.

Questions:
  1. Transformer Connection:
I’ve purchased the recommended UK transformer. What exactly does this transformer connect to? RCD? If so what how!
  2. Wiring for Doorbell:
What wires are required to connect the C31 doorbell to the transformer? Do i need to buy these separately?
  3. Transformer Installation Location:
Does the transformer need to be installed next to the doorbell, or can it be located further away from the doorbell? Like within a RCD box?
  4. Power Supply Instructions:
Looking for a detailed instructions on how to ensure the doorbell receives constant power, including how and where to connect the transformer and power wires?
  5. Fuse Box Proximity:
My house RCD box will be approximately 1-2 meters away from where the doorbell will be installed. Does this proximity simplify the installation in any way?

I appreciate any detailed guidance and look forward to advice or even any diagrams i can give to my electrician builder who will make sure it is wired constantly with power.

Best regards,
Suneels

No idea what you are calling an RCD box??

Two conductors to the Live & Neutral supply appropriately fused for the transformer..
{May be via a standard 13A plug & socket arrangement or fused spur outlet..?}

Two output conductors from the transformer to the doorbell terminals....
(just like it shows on the wiring diagram in your link from Eufy)

IF your electrician needs you to supply any wiring diagrams or other guidance..
Then I would suggest you get a better electrician!!!
As this is all unbelievably basic wiring that anyone who is an electrician can do without any problems..

All you need to tell your electrician is where you want the doorbell mounted!
