Does anyone have a link to good guide on installing Open Office 64-bit on Ubuntu, )well Zorin 8 64-bit). I've followed a few guides I've found but something's not working!

Cheers

ok, your home folder should be

/home

an easy way to find stuff if you are unsure as to where it will download is to make the desktop the default download destination.

top left on apps bar,

search

'open'

this is assuming Zorin looks like vanilla ubuntu,  :C

if you find it there, left click hold and drag it to the apps bar

Still no joy. Had the Zorin Look Changer set to Windows 7 (Zorin really takes you "away" from the Ubuntu look and feel, you might as well be using Windows) so switched to Gnome 2 view for the apps bar. Open Office not there..............

do you need to call it in a terminal?

i know with my DVR I have to run it from a terminal, but then it goes GUI for me

what issues are you having with libreoffice btw?

I use it for everything, and most of my customers use either apple or windows,

actually, I think all of them do, I doubt any of them use Ubuntu or any other Linux, apart from the apple people [that dont know they do,  :slap   ]
