Been to the hospital this morning............... & I've pulled the ligaments in my right ankle............chuffing painful it is, all i did a fortnight ago drop out of a lorry cab & twist, twinged at the time but thought nothing of it, got worse as the week went on then got better but yesterday I steped back of the steps but was one rung higher than expcted went down like the preverbial sack of muck, today I can just about hobble on it..........driving no chance.

I agree with zee, I tore the cartilage in my knee last year, went to hospital as got fobbed off as a sprain that would wear off.

A month later my knee was still full of fluid with very limited range of movement, went to physio and they sorted it right out, took 7 visits at 35quid a time! I still need my cartilage repairing but I'm waiting till the ski season had been and gone this winter.

The nhs are very good if your on deaths door, but if your walking wounded they will do anything to get off the waiting list.

ooo looks like im not the only one thats not having a good week so far! i just had to do a trip to the dreaded dentist!

snapped a tooth and the nerve has an infection but they wont pull it :(

weeks worth antibiotics

on the bright side, no charge :D

I know how you're feeling M. Don't think I said on the forum but a couple of weeks back was getting the radio out of my van jumped down and stood on the 13 amp plug. I was in agony but carried on working. I had to go and see my back man that evening and he had a look at it. Can't remember what he said I had done but its one of those injuries footballers get. I can now sympathize with over paid footballers. Had to take pain killers for quite a few days and the bruise really came out. Its still not right but I am just struggling on.

Brufen.....Used to have them as a hangover cure when in the army, trip to med centre before a night out to secure a few would help with the mess that was sure to folow in the morning:innocent

But alas I cant take any anti-inflamitory drugs these days............kidneys dont like them. Infact told by the Renal consultant the anti-inflamitory based drugs dry out and shrink the Kidney, so if you have a kidney problem it makes matters worse & possibly my use of Brufen as a hangover cure when I was an invincible 18 year old squaddie exacerbated my problem before I knew I had it. :|
