Outdoor caravan socket

I want to put an outdoor socket for my caravan to plug the 3pin commando style socket into.

It'll be rated at 16A.

Can I just link into my downstairs ring circuit in the house or will it need to be on its own circuit?

you can take a fused spur from the sockets. be aware of exporting the earth though. ideally sould be on its own radial, and with its own rod if TNCS

+1 to it's own TT earth, you are not supposed to export a PME earth to a caravan.

also it must have RCD protection, so if your ring final does not have an RCD, use an RCD FCU to feed the caravan socket.
