Hi everyone.

When fitting an outside light, is it ok to run flex from a junction box to the light fitting? :x

The flex would just be clipped to brickwork.

I use flex on outside lights if necessary as I think flex looks better than tw/e and think it probably will also last longer.

Only if its likely to get damaged ie if it runs through plants or vine type things on a wall. You have to use your judgement as to wether its likely to get damaged on most walls probably not.

I think in a previous thread this was suggested H07 RNF as suitable for the applicationhttp://www.h07rnfcable.co.uk/

Daft question but can you get PVC in black?
Im assuming that is the same as Hi-Tuff .?

good stuff, but would only be that bothered if the flex is low level, as was said, use some judgement as to the likelihood of damage/abuse.

thats you are usually meant to use to connect cookers and hobs inline with manufactures instructions.
