Much more to do with the Daily Mail's bigotry than PIR reports in my opinion.

The contractor is quite right not to give the tenant a copy of the report (unless of course the tenant commissioned the report).

Possibly some truth in your assessment Riggy...

As most likely the landlord(council) ordered the work and paid the contractor,

thus the contractor is under no obligation to provide any information to the tenant.

Whereas the landlord has responsibilities to the tenant..

so the contractor would be correct telling the tenant to contact the council.

when i used to do testing in council houses, the tenant was not given anything, apart from a shiney new sticker on the CU. if they wanted a copy, they would have to ask the council for it.

and for most of the houses, the certs were not filled in on site anyway

but either way, the cert was always written in english!

imagine what would happen working in poland and wirting the cert in english
