hi i manage an apartment block and have massive cost with gear trays going.

type lighting 2d hf 28w.

I am considering switching to led bulbs with emergency back up central battery as oppose to battery pack in each unit.

At a later stage I might want pir switching would this still be possible with a central battery back up system.

Got a feeling this thread will get moved.

Ive fitted about 70 Fern Howard EMs over the last 8 months, had three failures most straight out the box or within a day, they are EM tested every 3 months maximum. Gear trays can be bought separately and swapped very easily. I have purchased date on each fitting so we know when a year is up no arguments then.
