Thats one of the reasons why I insist on doing my first fix AFTER the plumber.Do not get me wrong there are some good plumbers out there as there are bad electricians, it is just that I have pride in my work and like all my installations to tick and cross all the boxes.
When a plumber has followed me I have found central heating pipes laid on top of cables, cables used as a bending aid to get around a corner, radiators positioned on wrong walls etc etc.
Now I do not run the risk, I wish I had kept a photo I had where the main 22mm gas pipe was run vertical in front of the consumer unit, so close that you could not open the cover to re set any mcb.
(for any one interested the regulation distance is 150mm)
