its the responsibility of the electricain to move the outlet, dont ask me why it just is.!
i do not relish that task as the pipe will need to be pushed out of the way just to get the plate off.

Thats one of the reasons why I insist on doing my first fix AFTER the plumber.

Do not get me wrong there are some good plumbers out there as there are bad electricians, it is just that I have pride in my work and like all my installations to tick and cross all the boxes.

When a plumber has followed me I have found central heating pipes laid on top of cables, cables used as a bending aid to get around a corner, radiators positioned on wrong walls etc etc.

Now I do not run the risk, I wish I had kept a photo I had where the main 22mm gas pipe was run vertical in front of the consumer unit, so close that you could not open the cover to re set any mcb.

(for any one interested the regulation distance is 150mm)

returned to a job today to tind that the gas fitter had been in to install the gas pipe for the cookerstraight over the cooker connection unitX( X(
You would have to be either lazy or stupid to plumb this, or perhaps both :|
