I bought my Multi function tool from Aldi this morning.Very pleased with it. Cuts through wood like a knife through butter.

The wood cutting tool is all i'm likely to use it for.

But it came with a detail sanding tool and a couple of packets of sanding pads for it. Though I won't use this tool as a sander, the pads rather conveniently fit my B&D detail sander, right down to the holes for dust extraction lining up. Perhaps that's a clue as to who makes this tool?
Dave what time did you buy this. I tried two Aldi branches at about 10:00 am and none left? Did they have many at your local branch?

Inverness branch at about 10AMThere were probably a dozen left, I have no idea how many there were to start with.

Previous experience suggests these offers sell out quickly.

I believe very strongly in buying the best you can afford. I've done the cheap tool thing and if I want something for a single job then I might get a cheap one, but something I will use over again I will buy a good one. It will work safer, better and faster. Cheap drills lack the torque, grip on chucks etc. Cheap sanders work so much slower than good ones, and the dust extraction works on my Metabo!

normally I would agree on that score Apache,

but, at times Ive been very pleasantly surprised, depending on the punishment you give it I suppose,

if you know you have something cheap you will often let it find its on way, rather than welly it on, so to speak.

and it may well last well beyond your expectations, just hope it wont let you down that time you need it, but the same can be said for quality kit,

it can fail unexpectedly too sometimes, and perhaps not only due to wear, but maybe a manufacturing defect or whatever else.

I bought one for myself and one for my mate. Was at the store for 0800 though, nice tool and the Bosch blades fit - Thanks Dave :)

Im with patch on this one saving up for the fein. Prob get one next year but did tell me dad about this offer and he tried local store at 9am and they checked all other stores. All sold out ffs. It would have Been ideal for him but if it's gonna get abused alot think the fein would be better as like patch says the smaller drills don't have the same torque as expensive ones. I was drilling a wall to clip some swa to wall using my 24v dewalt sds and my pal said use his 36v Bosch li-ion and it was about 3-5 times more powerful. Saying that my batteries are nearly dead so have been saving all year to get that 36v Bosch sds. Never used a drill more powerful so early Xmas for me at toolfair November hopefully lol :)

Thanks for confirming the Bosch blades fit.

Sometimes with offers like this I kick myself in hindsight for only buying one. I'm sure if I had bought a few, I could re sell them on ebay for a profit.
