Think..

single phase =230v

power = 2500w

power factor 0.95 or pehaps consider as 95% of current ???

have go...

I=P/V

I=2500/230

I=10.87

95% I = (10.87/100) * 95

=10.33amps

Aye - I know where I went wrong - I multiplied by 95% not divided!

now i get 11.4! Blushing

Because............As the power factor drops below unity (i.e. 1), the current must rise. If it worked the other way, you`d be getting more out than you put in.

what am i doing wrong with this calculator i get the right answer but it comes

out 0.1144 not 11.4
