can easily lose 20-30m of cable around a house with lots of junctions, so would think 50m straight run would be OK for WAP points

DVR with a 3g dongle and remote viewing setup? Or a 4way transmitter ontoDVR in the main house.

Done it before IIRC it was around 80m from the barn to the house

Worked a treat. No dropped signals since it went in except when they forgot trim the huge tree and it blocked the signal.
