Having read this thread again I initially thought it was just based on general sparky stuff;
Having just done my weekly sort out I have topped up my 'faecal self extrication kit'
Data/comms
Cat5 and 6 Modules, plates and blanks
1 24 way and 1 16 way patch panel
patch leads and crossovers
BT sockets...masters and slaves
BT JBs
Jelly crimps, 2 way, 3 way and splice
Blocking plugs [to isolate a pair on a krone strip
Combs [to isolate all 10 pairs on a Krone strip]
Krone Strips
1 and 2 pair jumper wire
Cage nuts
Spare Sensor Plus IDC tool and stripper/ringer
RJ45 plugs
DB 9, 15, 25 plugs Male and female [only a couple of each ...some people still use them], pins and crimper
Fire Alarm
Aico smokes and heats, 2 Aico Radio bases
various smokes and heats with bases
selection of EOLs [accquired from strip outs]
selection of resistors
spare can of smoke
Call points and spare glasses [square and oblong]
a couple of 'handy litte relays' and a couple of 'very handy little relays'....google on CPC for details
I don't do machine tools anymore, but when I did it was relays, contactors, buttons, contact modules, lamps, prox sensors etc etc ended up with a van full of 'just in case' stuff! Used to drive around with 1000s of pounds worth of dead stock just to get the customer out of the guano AND got little thanks for it...so, No thanks... :coat
