Having read this thread again I initially thought it was just based on general sparky stuff;

Having just done my weekly sort out I have topped up my 'faecal self extrication kit'

Data/comms

Cat5 and 6 Modules, plates and blanks

1 24 way and 1 16 way patch panel

patch leads and crossovers

BT sockets...masters and slaves

BT JBs

Jelly crimps, 2 way, 3 way and splice

Blocking plugs [to isolate a pair on a krone strip

Combs [to isolate all 10 pairs on a Krone strip]

Krone Strips

1 and 2 pair jumper wire

Cage nuts

Spare Sensor Plus IDC tool and stripper/ringer

RJ45 plugs

DB 9, 15, 25 plugs Male and female [only a couple of each ...some people still use them], pins and crimper

Fire Alarm

Aico smokes and heats, 2 Aico Radio bases

selection of EOLs [accquired from strip outs]

Call points and spare glasses [square and oblong]

a couple of 'handy litte relays' and a couple of 'very handy little relays'....google on CPC for details

I don't do machine tools anymore, but when I did it was relays, contactors, buttons, contact modules, lamps, prox sensors etc etc ended up with a van full of 'just in case' stuff! Used to drive around with 1000s of pounds worth of dead stock just to get the customer out of the guano AND got little thanks for it...so, No thanks... :coat
