typical customer, break down the install .. omg.. ?

tell them they need a new cu, 17th board. replace the shed supply or disconnect.

why are you pandering round this customer you could be earning money doing a job for someone who wants a good job for the right money....

i would treat this job like the plague it has hassle wrote all over it . :)

Wow - that's a bit harsh JL, but I see your point. Remember, I'm just a newby, so I'm grateful for any work that comes my way at the moment. It's also practically on my doorstep which is a bonus.

Your in that unfortunate position where you want to do the job right but the customer is placing obsticles in your way.

Try telling them that a replaced cu would be cheaper in the long run to install now and the benifit of a full safety certificate for the installation.

Sometimes you just have to walk away, sad but true.

harsh . :)

i am of the opinion after many years of working in the private sector that what ever price you give they want it cheaper, they want it quick cheap and no mess.

with electricity there is no such thing as a temperary fix. its either right or wrong.

i give 1 quote and tell them what they will get for there money then leave them with it . :)

i would rather watch day time tv than work for nothing,
